Fuji Steakhouse and Sushi in Charlotte

It was my first hibachi experience and the chef made it more awesome with great food with decent portions!! Must visit for a hibachi lover!

Food is great but service leaves a lot to be desired.

There is usually a wait most times but lunch time durring the week is the best time to go and their sushi is always good

First time I've tried this place and I have to say it's not bad at all. Staff was very friendly and entertaining. Pricing was normal for this type of restaurant. They give you a lot of food for the price. Considering we went on a Friday night around 8 we were seated right away. The waitress checked on us multiple times and kept our drinks refilled. The food was good and honestly probably the closet thing I've had compared to Kabutos.

Would have give this place a zero star if I could. This place is robbing people do not eat here. Over price and very little food. Look at the calamari I got this was $7 for a few tiny pieces. The 2 small beef skewers for $7 this is highway robbery and the food is not been good. The owner of this place is a money hungry greedy person/persons. AGAIN DONT THROW YOUR MONEY AWAY BY EATING AT THIS PLACE.

Good sushi but not my favorite spot in Charlotte, definitely one of the better in the area. Some of the sauces on the signature rolls were not my favorite but the quality of the fish was good. Service was nice. The ambience was nice. Could be a good date spot but not too fancy for a casual dinner.I will return, probably will try the hibachi next time.

I have never had a bad meal from there. In fact the owner of this restaurant is super nice and friendly she also owns red ginger in uptown Charlotte. The noodles are great it’s never mushy and loaded with veggies. The atmosphere is very relaxing and has a great ambiance. Their sushi is pretty tasty and that’s coming from someone that doesn’t care for sushi but as a first timer it was pretty good.

Great location, great service, great drinks, great food. Highly recommend.

Good service, plus the food comes quick

We enjoy to go out. Last night we went to this delicious restaurant which friends told us about. We enjoyed a beautiful experience there with superb cooking and a nice team and a professional chef. We added this place in our list and we shall no doubt come back very soon. We deeply recommend.

Fuji is, without a doubt, my absolute favorite Japanese restaurant. I have been here so many times I've lost count.. And have yet to have a bad meal, or a bad time! The staff takes care of your every need and request almost instantly. The hibachi chefs all are extremely talented, and bring their own flair to the table ( literally ). It is great to sit down with complete strangers, and end up feeling like family by the time the meal is over. It's truly a great place, and a guaranteed great time!

Exactly what you would expect from a Japanese Steak House. It was very good. I will be a repeat guest!

The chef that we had was awesome! He included everyone at the table including the lone gentleman sitting at the end. The kids thoroughly enjoyed it and we all had a great time. The food was really great too. My wife normally doesn't like zucchini but she loved the way it was prepared. They also served yakisoba (I think) noodles with the hibachi which was a nice variation from most hibachi places.

Fuji has been a staple for our casual dining. My family always enjoy the consistency of the food and the nice service. I have tried a good variety of their dishes and I can honestly say they are always well cooked and are tasty. featured in the picture “Chicken and Beef Teriyaki Combo”.

I was so impressed with this restaurant. Michael who cooked for us was so pleasant. He has great Customer Service skills. This was my first time and I can't wait to go back. This place is a 10 plus with me. And its hard to get a 10. Great food and great Customer service your going to love this place. Go and enjoy and if you get a chance ask for Michael. Keep up the good work

Very good food and plum wine

The food is okay, kind of subpar for what you should get at a hibachi resturant. Honestly there is no flavor. The rice is overcooked and they over cooked my scallops and lobster. The lobster was so tough that you could barely chew it. Really wasn't worth the price I paid

Tasty, clean and excellent service. The cook was So Good, Entertaining and funny. I forgot his name but he was from Hawaii. Name may have been Gary. Not sure? Anyway, he can cook for me any day. Me, my sister and nephew was there on March 11th. Plan to return.

Went for a celebration for my son who joined the Navy. The food was great and wait was short. The lunch menu will fill you up. I highly recommend.

What a fun place to have celebration dinner. The chefs are great doing lots of fun things while cooking, throwing food for you to catch in your mouth, onion volcano, tricks with the spatula and more. The portions they give are huge with lots of flavor. The yum yum sauce you have to try.

I was not pleased with this place it all. They told me they did not have any of the allergens that my daughter was allergic to in their food and almost killed her. Do not go to this place if you have special needs. The food was just okay, nothing special.

This is a must place to visit. The food is amaizing and service is outstanding.Being a Japanese restaurant the experience is funny and tasteful, not only seeing the food been cooked in front of you but the cook is hilarious as he cooks your meals.Great family place, beautifully decorated and delish food.Be Blessed.

Really delicious Udon noodles...Tempura was crisp as well as hot and not too oily. .. good attentive service..clean facility...beautiful fish tank...options for fresh sushi, regular meals or hibachi cooked right there...... easy parking...reasonable pricing...give it a go ...

One of my favorites in this area, the food is always delicious. Service is great sometimes and lacking at others but the food makes up for it.

Sad to say this place has gone downhill. It used to be our families favorite Japanese locally. Went in for dinner Wednesday night. The place was seriously understaffed. Tables were a mess, food on the floor. The food was incredibly underwhelming. Our cook, who said it was his first day on the job, did not even use salt and pepper on our food, it lacked any flavor with the exception of oil and butter which is all he used. No personality and zero show from him. He just cooked his nasty food. No sesame seeds on our hibachi chicken and the whole table barely got any vegetables-most of what they brought out was a pile of mushrooms and onions, gross. We love the broccoli and carrots but collectively we may have gotten 1 piece of each. The cook spilled an entire tray of rice on the floor. We did not get any shrimp or ginger sauce till the end of our meal, we asked for it twice. Also he gave us our shrimp appetizer very last. This place needs some work before we go back.

I called at 3pm, yes it was new years eve but they told me no reservations needed, but I got there for hibachi. The person that helped us was very rude a like she didn't want to help us. She said it will take a hr. But after an hour and fifteen minutes cam and passed my husband went to ask. She said thirty minutes more, never updated us and two hrs later we are not even close to be sit it. The person who took us to our table was rude too. The chair they gave me was wet with soy sauce they didn't clean it. And they put us in a space where my daughter was sitting in a spot where someone else's plate was in. So we move, and the person who sit us ask if we move o e spot down. We said yes and she made a face. Horrible time.

Great buy one get one half price sushi rolls on the weekend. Service was almost non-existent. Our waitress was also waiting tables on the hibachi side. We only saw four waitstaff in the entire restaurant.

Female Owner is blatantly disrespectful and rude. She was on the phone speaking in her blue tooth as I entered, no greeting. I still reviewed the menu & then asked her about a specific roll that had no ingredients listed. She had the nerve to ask me “ Do you know how to read?!?!?!? I told her to read her own menu, she caught HER restaurant mistake and tried to get smart after that. I said what I needed to and proceeded to leave. DO NOT support these businesses that feel they can disrespect & disregard you as a patron. She will NEVER get a dollar from me ,family or friends. She will eventually learn who helps her pay her lease and ingredients after people stop attending her despicable establishment!!!!!!!!

We had a great experience here. The food was fantastic, we were seated quickly, the serving size generous, and very courteous and efficient service. The salmon and shrimp hibachi was perfect! We'll be back!

The staff is always great whenever we come. The servers are very attentive and the chef,.especially today was very interactive with my family and I. I usually get the habachi, but this time I tried the udon soup with the tempura shrimp, which was very good.

Absolutely fantastic. First time trying a hibachi restaurant. I have absolutely no complaints.

The food and staff were wonderful. I ordered steak and chicken and it was awesome. This was our first time but we will definitely return. Everyone needs to go and enjoy.

Our chef, P was very entertaining. He kept us engaged for the entire time. The food was also very delicious.

Food is really good, but the cooks are funny as hell! I come here a million times just to clown out with the cooks. But seriously the filet mignon and shrimp hibachi is delicious. The scallops, lobster and filet mignon is really good too. I don't care for hibachi lobster, it's always better broiled or steamed but it was pretty good here

Great food today at lunch. you don't get the "show" at lunch though so that was a little disappointing. But overall the experience was good enough to make me want to come back again.

We eat here all the time, but lately the service has been going down hill fast. Tonight we go in and its freezing inside we cant even feel our fingers as we eat. The waitress takes 20 minutes before she even takes our order. I thought at first it was so cold because we had just came in from being outside,but it got colder as dinner went on. Finally half way through dinner I asked if they had heat and waitress tells me no it's broken. You may want to disclose that information before folks sit down to enjoy a nice expensive dinner on a cold night. This experience has left a bad taste in my mouth...I think we are done with Fuji

This place is overpriced for the quality of the food. Whenever you order extra shrimp sauce there is hardly any. And the food is too soupy, watery or whatever. It was decent which is why I give 2 stars but I wont be ordering from here anymore.

We were on vacation and it was within walking distance from our hotel. What a treat after a day of traveling. Absolutely delicious

The food was good and the ginger dressing on the salad was the best I had out of any Hibachi restaurant I have been to. Also, they have more of a selection than their competitors. The salmon was great!!!

Sad to say... any time that I’ve come there it’s been a mess. They were severely understaffed and they should not have been taking tables. The waitress completely forgot my drink. Had to ask about 4 or 5 times and wait about 30 minutes between each. We waited about an hour or so before the chef even came out and when I asked the waitress for a side of fried rice as my meal she looked at me like I was crazy and said I would have to wait an additional 30 minutes.... it’s just the same rice that is served with every hibachi meal.Unreal. The chef was hilarious and that is why it’s 2 stars and not 1.
